Scott Langford, PhD

I am a post-doctoral research fellow in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. I completed my Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I was also a researcher at CREATE, an economic development research center affiliated with the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at Kenan-Flagler Business School. 

Recent events demonstrate the importance of understanding the drivers of economic growth, particularly through crises. My research uses rigorous econometric techniques to investigate how health policy and local finance impact economic resilience. My teaching interests, in econometric and statistical analysis, research design, and public finance draw upon these experiences.
